- Psychic TV est un groupe britannique, fondé en 1981, à Hackney, par Genesis P-Orridge, Peter « Sleazy » Christopherson (tous deux anciens membres de Throbbing Gristle) et Alex Fergusson, ex-Alternative TV. Le premier morceau du groupe Just Drifting, composé par Fergusson sur un poème de GP-O, est une ballade pop, bien loin des expérimentations électroniques et bruitistes de TG. Leur premier album chez WEA s’appelle Force the hand of chance. Genesis P-Orridge a trouvé l’expression «Industrial Music » pour qualifier le genre illustré par «Throbbing Gristle », lors d’une conversation avec son ami artiste Monte Cazazza. Depuis, Psychic TV a connu départs et arrivées de membres, et de nombreuses mutations.Genesis P-Orridge est le premier citoyen britannique condamné à l'exil depuis un siècle, d'où son installation aux États-Unis. En 2004, le groupe a fait une tournée en Europe sous le nom PTV3, et Genesis P-Orridge poursuit ses expérimentations sous le nom Thee Majesty.Genesis P-Orridge a retrouvé en 2004 ses trois camarades de jeu de TG (Chris, Cosey et Sleazy), d'abord en tournée, puis en studio, pour enregistrer en 2006 chez Mute un nouvel album, "Part Two : The Endless Not", le premier depuis 25 ans.
