abstract A siphon (10) has a siphon housing (1) with an inlet pipe (1b) passing through a housing wall (1a) and with an outlet pipe (1e) passing through a housing wall (1d). The inlet port (1b) opens into the siphon housing in an inlet port (1c). The outlet port (1e) opens into the siphon housing in an outlet port (1f). In the siphon housing interior, an odor trap insert (6) can be arranged, which has an insert housing (6a + 6b), in which in liquid-tight manner, a curved channel (6e), in particular a channel with at least one U-shaped section is formed. The channel (6e) has a channel inlet opening (6c) and a channel outlet opening (6d), the channel inlet opening (6c) and the channel outlet opening (6d) of the odor trap insert (6) sealingly communicating with the inlet opening (1c) and the outlet opening (6), respectively. 1f) can be connected by simply plugging.
