The compounds and their physiologically acceptable salts have a structural formula wherein the substituents have the meanings given in the description. They are inhibitors of serine / threonine and tyrosine kinase activity. Some of the tyrosine kinases, whose activity is inhibited by these compounds, are involved in angiogenic processes. The compounds may alleviate disease states in which angiogenesis or hyperproliferation of endothelial cells is a factor such as can be used to treat cancer and hyperproliferative disorders. |
