titleOfInvention Bacillus pumilus strain to control plant diseases
abstract Invention Patent: "CEPA DO BACILO PUMILUS FOR PLANT DISEASE CONTROL". The present invention relates to a new Bacillus sp. antibiotic producer, which exhibits antifungal activity only on certain specific plant pathogens and does not exhibit antibacterial activity, as well as a biologically pure culture of a strain having all the characteristics of identification of that strain. The present invention also provides a method of treating or protecting plants, fruits and roots from fungal infections, by applying an effective amount of these strains, the supernatants produced by these strains or an isolated metabolite of these strains. The invention also covers the synergistic fungicidal effect of using a NRRL NN <0> strain of access B-30087 together with B-21661 (AQ 713).
