titleOfInvention Input data processing circuits
abstract "INPUT DATA PROCESSING CIRCUITS". An input data processing circuit according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a phase detector 50 adapted to detect a phase difference between the first and second synchronisms that are sent from duplicate circuits. Reading circuit set 60 selects one of the first and second PEPS buffers (10 or 30), if the phase difference is greater than a predetermined time interval corresponding to half the frame data length, specifically , "m" bytes of input data sets. In this case, the selected PEPS buffer (10 or 30) has a faster synchronism due to the difference in synchronism phase than another synchronism between the first and second synchronisms. Then, the reading circuit set 60 reads the frame only from the selected buffer (PEPS). As a result, there will be no "lack of data" in the PEPS buffer even if there is a difference in the synchronism rate between the synchronisms generated by the duplicated circuits.
