"Threaded joint for steel pipes". The present invention relates to a steel pipe joint formed on a pin and a housing having a contact surface that includes threaded parts and a non-threaded metal contact part and capable of stably ensuring seizure resistance and an air tightness without applying a compound grease therein, wherein a solid lubricant film formed with a lubricating powder (eg molybdenum disulfide) and an organic or inorganic binder is formed on the contact surface of at least one of the pin and housing, the area ratio occupied by the secondary particles of 15 - 60 <109> m equivalent grease powder equi-area diameter in the cross section of the solid lubricant film in the direction of thickness is 5 to 90% , and a filler such as fiber (e.g., inorganic filaments) in addition to the lubricating powder is mixed into the solid lubricant film at the mass ratio of the filler as fiber. for the binder from 0.01 to 0.5, whereby particularly the resistance to seizure at high temperatures can be improved. |
