titleOfInvention guided extraction process with purification and concentration of antioxidant substances extracted from the bark of himatanthus bracteantus (a. dc.) woodson
abstract guided extraction process with purification and concentration of antioxidant substances extracted from the bark of himatanthus bracteatus (a. dc.) woodson. The present invention relates to a process for the large-scale extraction of a concentrated ethanolic extract of bioactive substances from the himatanthus bracteatus (a. dc.) woodson plant for use as an active ingredient in the composition of medicaments. , characterized by drying the bark of the stems, or other parts of the h.bracteatus plant at room temperature and then grinding in a knife mill. where the powder is subjected to the pressurized liquid extraction process varying temperature (20 ° and 70 °) and flow (1 and 5 ml / min), with constant pressure of 100 bar and volume of 1ml to 1l, preferably 25 ml of each solvent of increasing polarity, best starting with hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and lastly ethanol. In the solvent exchange interval, a gas, preferably CO2, is passed for complete removal of the above solvent. At the end of the cleaning process, an ethanolic extract with higher antioxidant concentration is obtained. At each solvent pass, the resulting extractive solution is collected in separate vials. The extract or powder obtained after drying can be used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industry, as it has bioactive properties.
