abstract |
The present invention relates to an orthopedic plate for repairing fractures (osteosynthesis) of long bones by which greater mechanical stability is offered by the ability to more effectively neutralize the forces acting on the fracture focus. Thus, the present invention makes it possible to minimize the frequent postoperative complications when using the techniques commonly applied in the state of the art that work in isolation. With the present invention, it is possible to introduce a PIM in an extra-articular way, by adding a special angled hole in the blocked plate, which provides the locking between the two components (plate and PIM), generating a new approach to fractures complex in long bones. |
