abstract PROCESS TO PROGNOSE, IN VITRO, IN A BLOOD SAMPLE THE PROBABILITY FOR A PATIENT TO EVOLVE INTO SEVERE DENGUE. Process to predict, in vitro, in a blood sample, the probability for a patient to develop severe dengue. The object of the present invention is a process to predict, in vitro, in a blood sample, the probability of a patient evolving to severe dengue, in which: a) the amount of at least one marker is determined and b) it is compared with a reference quantity obtained from a group of individuals who have been diagnosed as suffering from non-severe dengue, and if the quantity determined in step a) is greater than the reference quantity established in step b), prognostication will be made. the patient will progress to severe dengue. That marker is the Leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein. It can be completed by determining Vitamin D Binding-Protein and/or Ferritin. The invention also relates to the use of prognostic marker(s) and a revolution prognostic kit for severe dengue.
