oxide containing zirconium and high porosity cerium. the present description relates generally to an oxide composition composed primarily of cerium and zirconium which has exceptional and stable porosity, surface area and oxygen lattice mobility. the oxide composition may contain one or more of rare earth oxides other than cerium oxide. for example, some compositions may contain one or more of lanthanum oxide, yttrium oxide and neodymium oxide. the oxide composition may be useful as a catalyst, catalyst support, sensor applications and combinations thereof. |
