INLINE MIXING PROCESS FOR POLYMERS. IT IS AN IN-LINE MIXING PROCESS FOR POLYMERS THAT COMPRISES: (A) SUPPLY TWO OR MORE LOW PRESSURE REACTOR AND SEPARATOR UNITS (1.7) IN PARALLEL CONFIGURATION, WHERE EACH REACTOR AND LOW PRESSURE SEPARATOR UNIT COMPRISES A REACTOR (2.8) FLUIDLY CONNECTED TO A LOW PRESSURE SEPARATOR (3.9) DOWNSTREAM AND ADDITIONALLY A RECYCLING LINE (5.11) THAT CONNECTS THE LOW PRESSURE SEPARATOR (3.9) BACK TO THE REACTOR CORRESPONDENT (2.8); (B) POLYMERIZE OLEFIN MONOMERS THAT HAVE TWO OR MORE CARBON ATOMS IN EACH OF THE REACTORS (2,8) IN SOLUTION POLYMERIZATION; (C) FORM A NON-REDUCED REACTOR EFFLUENT FLOW THAT INCLUDES A HOMOGENEOUS FLUID PHASE POLYMER-MONOMER-SOLVENT MIXTURE IN EACH OF THE REACTORS (2,8), (D) PASS THE NON-REDUCED REACTOR EFFLUENT FLOWS TO FROM EACH OF THE REACTORS (2.8) THROUGH THE CORRESPONDING LOW PRESSURE SEPARATORS (3.9), SO THAT THE TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE OF THE LOW PRESSURE SEPARATORS (3.9) IS ADJUSTED SO THAT A LIQUID PHASE AND A STEAM PHASE ARE OBTAINED THUS PRODUCING A POLYMER ENRICHED LIQUID PHASE AND A POLYMER POOR STEAM PHASE, AND (E) SEPARATING THE (...) PHASE. |
