abstract |
to achieve high quality x-ray imaging, it must be important to be able to control the production of x-rays in an x-ray generator. the same is achieved by an x-ray generator that comprises an array of electron field emitters to produce electron trajectories, target material that comprises x-ray photon producing material configured to emit x-ray photons in response the incidence of electrons produced on it, a matrix of magnetic field generators to influence the trajectories of the electrons produced from the matrix of electron field emitters so that one or more trajectories are deviable in the opposite direction to the material of ray photon production -x in order to reduce the production of x-ray photons by said one or more electron paths, the generator also comprising a detection circuit arranged to measure the amount of electrical charge emitted by one or more electron emitters, and a controller for controlling the array of magnetic field generators in response to the amount of electrical charge measured. |
