"METALURIC REACTOR FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CAST IRON". Metallurgical reactor for the production of cast iron, consisting of a metal frame (1) internally lined with at least partially refractory material (R) and provided in the region of the top closure with a duct (9) through which ferrous material is introduced, said reactor being equipped with a first series of lances (13) to inject the oxidizing gas, which are properly directed and arranged on at least a first bottom level located in the vicinity of the crucible (101) for collecting the cast iron (2) and whereby, in association with an oxidising gas, suitable grain size coal is poured by means of a suitable carrier gas. Said duct (9) has suitable cooling means (309-509) and is provided at the bottom end with nozzles (18) for blowing in the compressed gas. The middle zone (201) of the reactor frame (1) is internally provided with refractory material, receptacles for receiving plates (11) made of metal which is a good heat conductor being formed in said coating (501), said plates (11) being provided on its sides directed through the exterior of the reactor with heat exchange means for cooling thereof. |
