TOPICAL FORMULATIONS CONTAINING O-DESMETIL VENLAFAXIN (ODV) OR ITS SALTS. The present invention provides topical compositions comprising 0-desmethylvenlafaxine (ODV), a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In certain embodiments, the formulations of the invention contain one or more percutaneous / permucosal absorption enhancers. Methods of preparing and using such compositions for the treatment of various diseases or conditions such as vasomotor symptoms and pain are also provided. |
