wettable silicone hydrogel contact lenses and related compositions and methods. silicone hydrogel contact lenses having ophthalmically acceptable surface wettability are obtained from pre-extracted polymerized silicone hydrogel contact lens products having relatively large amounts of removable or extractable materials. silicone hydrogel contact lenses may be obtained from non-surface-based resin-based contact lens molds or a polymeric mesh that interpenetrates with a polymeric wetting agent. Lens products, polymerizable compositions, and related methods are also described. |
