abstract |
method for inhibiting corrosion in pipes, composite structure for the outer surface of a pipe and fabricating kit of a protective-insulating coating composite structure an insulating / protective coating composite method and structure are provided to inhibit the corrosion of pipes. The method comprises the steps: forming a porous insulation with an arcuate elongate shape; applying a layer of sodium silicate solution to the insulation and at least partially within the pores; allowing the sodium silicate solution layer to cure the layer to a degree boundary solution; paste the sodium silicate on the outside after the curing step has been performed; install insulation on the outside surface of a pipe; and seal any exposed joints or edges that may exist between the installed products. The structure, made with this method, can have a release release layer and contact glue. |
