abstract PISTON TYPE LAMINARY FLOW COOLING DEVICE. The invention relates to a piston-type laminar flow cooling device, comprising several groups of nozzle devices, in which each group of nozzle devices comprises: a collector fixedly arranged perpendicular to a direction of travel of steels in strip; several nozzles in communication with the collector and uniformly arranged on the collector in an axial direction of the collector; two pistons fixedly arranged on the two internal ends of the screw rods, where an external diameter of the piston is compatible with an internal diameter of the collector; a drive device connected to the two pistons to drive the two pistons to move in the opposite or opposite way within the collector. The device can establish a laminar flow of span that corresponds to the width of the passage for the strip material according to the cooling needs of the different widths of the strip steels to obtain a change in the width in the laminar flow cooling zone, in order to to adjust the cooling water in the area in a direction of the passage width, to reduce the temperature drop in the portions (...).
