ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A coating composition comprising a carboxyl group-containing unsaturated diene polymer and copper, e.g. as copper naphthenate, copper chromite, which is added to the composition after carboxylation of the polymer. Coatings having improved mechanical properties are obtained from the compositions. Polybutadiene is the preferred polymer. |
