titleOfInvention | Current supply apparatus for an a.c. consumer |
abstract | Abstract A current supply apparatus for an A.C. consumer contains an inverter (3) having transistors (T1-T6) and relaxation diodes (D1-D6), a mains energised rectifier (2), a translator chopper (4) between the rectifier and inverter, a smoothing circuit (5) behind the chopper, one base control circuit for each transistor (T1-T7), a measuring resistor (6) for the chopper current, a current measuring resistor (13) in the current return line of the inverter, a pulse generator (26), a pulse distributor (27) feeding the pulses of the pulse generator to the inverter-base control circuits (29) and a regulator (20) feeding control pulses to the chopper-base control circuit (24) depending on an operating parameter of the inverter. A blocking signal is feedable to all the base control circuits depending on an overcurrent measuring signal derived from the associated current measuring resistor. To separate the low voltage portion comprising the regulator, pulse generator and pulse distributor from the high voltage of the part containing the rectifier, chopper and inverter as far as high voltage coupling is concerned, and to safeguard the high voltage part from overcurrents, the control pulses for the transistors (T1-T7) are fed to the associated base control circuit (24, 29) by way of a respective optocoupler (22, 28) and a respective gate (23, 32) feedable with the appropriate blocking signal on over-current is disposed between the optocouplers (22, 28) and the base control circuits (24, 29) for the chopper (4) and the inverter transistors (T2, T4, T6) connected to the current return line of the invertor. |
