HYDROCARBON RESIN AND MODIFIED HYDROCARBON RESIN PRODUCT THEREOF ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydrocarbon resin consisting essentially of a copolymer of (A) an unsaturated chain hydrocarbon or a cyclic hydrocarbon having a vinylidene group and (B) 9,10--dihydrodicyclopentadiene or its derivative, or a hydro-carbon resin modified by addition reacting an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride, or hydrogen, to the above-mentioned copolymer. The hydrocarbon resin and the modified hydrocarbon resin have a high softening point and a low melt viscosity, and are suitable for use in adhesives and traffic paints. |
