Novolacs with a high aldehyde/phenol ratio |
abstract |
Abridged New novolak formophenolic resins resulting from the condensation of phenols with compounds aldehydes containing at least 50% aliphatic aldehydes with 6 or more carbon atoms. They are made with remarkably high aldehyde-phenol molar ratios. Application as reinforcing resins of rubbers: they give a low viscosity to raw mixtures and a excellent hardness to vulcanized products. |
