A process for preparing a catalyst, said catalyst comprising at least one refractory inorganic support and at least one Group VIII metal of the Periodic Table (platinum, palladium, nickel and ruthenium) and at least one additional metal M selected from germanium , tin, lead, iron, titanium and chromium characterized in that said metal M is introduced, in the form of at least one organometallic complex, in-situ in the reactor where the hydrocarbon feedstock will then be treated . The catalyst prepared according to the invention is suitable for dehydrogenation reactions, especially paraffinic hydrocarbons to olefinic hydrocarbons. |
