A composite gasket material (10) composed of a core elongated polytetrafluoroethylene (11) wrapped with a high strength porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene film (12) is provided. The composite gasket material exhibits increased resistance to creep while in use so that thickness of the composite gasket material and thus gasket stress is maintained. |
