abstract The invention relates to a method for detecting neuropathologies by measuring apolipoprotein D (ApoD) in a sample containing cerebrospinal fluid sample from a patient. The method comprises the steps of measuring a concentration of apolipoprotein D (ApoD) in a cerebrospinal fluid sample from the patient suspected of having a neuropathology and/or a predisposition to such a neuropathology and comparing the concentrations obtained previously with a concentration of ApoD from a non-neuropathological sample. A higher concentration of ApoD in the patient sample is indicative of a neuropathology.
