| abstract | A system, method and carrier medium for insurance processing are provided. A table of contents is displayed to show steps associated with the processing of an insurance claim. Injury and treatment codes may be input to indicate contributing factors to the estimated value of the claim. An interactive search capability may be provided. Context-sensitive help may be displayed in order of relevance. Portions of the displayed help information may be hidden on the display screen. Formulas and rules for assessing bodily injury general damages may be externalized. Messages for obtaining user input may be stored as message codes along with corresponding message text in a messages table. Access to the insurance processing server may be provided over the Internet and/or World Wide Web through a web browser according to a pricing model. A reset button may be used to reset the state of the web browser. |
