abstract The system includes a base for resting on a surface, such as a floor, and a platform for resting the device thereon. Compressible spokes connect the platform to the base. Mechanical vibrations of the device are attenuated by the base, platform and spokes when the device is resting on the platform. The spokes are composed of a dampening material such as polyurethane.
