abstract Provided is a biosensor whereby the concentration of a specific component, such as glucose or neutral fat, in a sample can be measured within a short period of time. The biosensor comprises an insulating substrate, an electrode system at least comprising a working electrode and a counter electrode, said electrode system being formed on said insulating substrate, and a sample supply part formed on said electrode system, wherein said sample supply part comprises reaction layers including a first reaction layer, which is formed on said electrode system and contains an oxidoreductase carrying, as a prosthetic group, pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ), flavine adenine dinucleotide (FAD) or flavine mononucleotide(FMN), and a second reaction layer which is formed by applying a lipolytic enzyme-containing solution onto the first reaction layer.
