abstract |
The invention relates to a process for synthesizing a polymer with separation of a gaseous substance in an apparatus comprising: a reactor chamber having a substantially circular cylindrical upper section which is delimited by two circular surfaces and a circumferential surface and has a longitudinal cylinder axis, and a lower section; an inlet opening; a first outlet opening; a second outlet opening; and a removal device movable along the longitudinal cylinder axis at least between the second circular surface and the inlet opening, and contacts the circumferential surface. The invention further relates to a method comprising: feeding an oligomer melt into the circular cylindrical first section of the reaction chamber; polymerizing the oligomer melt to form a polymer melt; removing the polymer melt from the reaction chamber; and removing a gaseous substance from the reaction chamber. Deposits in the reaction chamber are removed by a removal device. |
