abstract |
A conductive bipolar battery plate and method of assembly of same. The bipolar battery plate includes an electrically conductive silicon wafer; a first battery electrode located on a first surface of the electrically conductive silicon wafer; and a second battery electrode located on a surface of the electrically conductive silicon wafer opposite the first surface, the second electrode having a polarity opposite the first battery electrode and including a layer of carbon. The bipolar battery provides a lead-acid battery formed of one or more very thin planar battery electrodes having active mass disposed on a very thin silicon substrate. |
