abstract The continuous modified or unmodified polypropylene fibres, of up to 30d-tex can be augmented by up to 40% of cellulose fibres. The bonding, sealed by corona discharge is by a soln. of PVC, PVDC, PVA, or oxidised and/or chlorinated polyolefines. The surface is coated by spreading a mixt. of pigments and bonding agents, with any flame-proofing such as phosphate. The purpose is to give a paper type prod. which is dye-fast, hase a good tear strength, and which will accept printing.
