abstract | Pesticides contain as active ingredient a cpd. of formula: R2ON=C(CN)-CO-NHR1 (I) (where R1 is H or aminocarbonyl, and R2 is H, a metal ion, or an ammonium ion opt. substd. by >=1 1-4C alkyl, dodecyl or 2-hydroxyethyl. (I) are active against phytopathogenic microorganisms (bacteria and esp. fungi) and display systemic and curative effects. Some cpds. (I) are also useful as plant growth regulators, particularly as growth inhibitors and for promoting fruit abscission. |
