titleOfInvention | Impact extrusion device |
abstract | The impact extrusion device, intended for the manufacture of packaging tubes (4) which are capped by a diaphragm (21) bordered by a peripheral bead (20), includes a die (18) whose bottom is formed by a bolster (counter-punch) (19) mounted so as to slide in the die (18) and being pressed onto the impact bearing plate by means of an elastic element. The head of the bolster (counter-punch) (19) is provided with peripheral circular die sinking, the cross-sectional contour of which has the shape of a continuous line having inflections of the same direction and with no discontinuities. The flow of the metal during the extrusion is thus standardised, which enables sound diaphragms to be obtained beyond the normal limiting diameters. <IMAGE> |
