When paper containing cellulose base fibers, aluminum sulfate and titanium dioxide is made, carboxymethyl celluloses having the substitution degree of carboxymethyl of 0.3 to 0.6 are added to the aqueous slurry of the cellulose base fibers, and then, the aluminum sulfate and the titanium dioxide are added to prepare pulp for paper making. Thus, the utilization rate of the titanium dioxide in paper during the working procedure of paper making can be increased. |
