abstract The invention relates to a reactive type sustained-release fertilizer compounded by nitrification inhibitor/urea formaldehyde and a preparation method thereof. The reactive type sustained-release fertilizer mainly comprises the following main raw materials of: the nitrification inhibitor, urea and formaldehyde, wherein the nitrification inhibitor is dicyandiamide or calcium cyanamide. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: according to a raw material proportion, adding the formaldehyde into urea melt or urea solution in proportion to obtain a mixture; simultaneously adding the nitrification inhibitor and a catalyst into the mixture and fully mixing the mixture to prepare slurry which contains sustained-release nitrogen; and then mixing the prepared slurry and components which contain phosphate fertilizer, potassic fertilizer, returned materials and the like to prepare the sustained-release compound fertilizer.
