| abstract | The invention discloses a method for processing a read-write request conforming to a processor local bus (PLB) protocol and a bus bridge between a PLB and an advanced extensible interface (AXI) bus. The method comprises the following steps: receiving the read-write request conforming to the PLB protocol without waiting for the confirmation of the successful execution of the previous read-write request conforming to the PLB protocol; caching the read-write request conforming to the PLB protocol; mapping the read-write request conforming to the PLB protocol into a read-write request conforming to an AXI bus protocol; and outputting the mapped read-write request conforming to the AXI bus protocol. The method and the bus bridge enable IP modules conforming to the PLB protocol and the AXI bus protocol to communicate with each other, execute the service mapping in the communication period, and ensure all the services to be executed in the sequence expected by PLB equipment, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the on-chip system communication. |
