abstract The invention discloses an advanced operating method for an underflow pump of an ore pulp pipeline transportation system, belonging to the technical field of pipeline transportation. The underflow pump delivers acceptable concentration of ore pulp concentrated by a concentration basin to an ore pulp storage tank; when the concentration of the ore pulp is not acceptable, the underflow pump returns the ore pulp to the concentration basin for continuous concentration; when the ore pulp pipeline transportation system does not realize the designed capacity, an HV1084 valve at a height of 16 meters needs to be operated frequently to switch the process; the HV1084 valve is moved to a height of 6 meters from the height of 16 meters; the acceptable concentration of ore pulp is continuously poured into an agitating tank according to the change of the concentration of underflow; and the operating method is summarized as a nine-word operating method, namely observing the ore, seeing the concentration and regulating the frequency. The improved operating method for the underflow pump has good economic benefit and good social benefit, and totally 188,772 Yuan of capital can be economized every year; and meanwhile, with the operating method, the labor intensity of workers is lowered, and a good operating experience is provided for the operation of the underflow pump in future in case the iron concentrate pulp pipeline transportation system does not realize the designed capacity.
