abstract The invention discloses a multilayer film for packaging a welding rod. The multilayer film comprises a surface layer, an intermediate layer and a heat-seal layer, wherein the surface layer and the heat-seal layer are adhered to the intermediate layer through a bonding layer; the surface layer comprises 70wt% of aliphatic polyester resin and 30wt% of glycerin fatty acid ester; the heat-seal layer comprises ultra low density polyethylene, and one or more than one of reinforced medium density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, ethylene alpha-olefin plastomer copolymer, metallocene polyethylene and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; the intermediate layer comprises ethylene-alpha olefin copolymer. The surface roughness of the film is in the range from 0.2nm to 3.5nm, the temperature range is from -40 to 130 degrees centigrade, and the tensile modulus is in the range from 500 to 1600MPa. The multilayer shrink film is wider in heat-seal temperature range and better in mechanical and optical performances.
