abstract | The invention discloses a touch display panel, a detection method thereof and a display device. A common electrode layer is segmented into multiple self-capacitance electrodes which are independent from one another; the common electrode is multicomplexed into a self-capacitance electrode, an extra film layer is not needed, only a common electrode layer pattern in a conventional liquid crystal display screen needs to be changed, the production cost is saved, and the production efficiency is improved. Because the self-capacitance electrode in the touch display panel is segmented by utilizing the common electrode layer, the touch display panel also comprises a compensation electrode which is positioned on different layers with the self-capacitance electrode, is arranged in an insulated and at least covers the segmentation gap between partial adjacent self-capacitance electrodes, wherein the compensation electrode is used for loading a common electrode signal in the display time period. Therefore, during display, the common electrode signal at the self-capacitance segmentation gap can be compensated by utilizing the common electrode signal loaded on the compensation signal, so that normal turning of liquid crystal at the segmentation gap is guaranteed, and display of the whole display panel is normal. |
