It is difficult to concentrate metals such as gallium from ores excavated from mines or used electronic components and to suppress the amount of waste liquid generated. A method for producing a solid metal compound, which comprises reducing a first solid metal compound in a mixture of the first solid metal compound containing a metal selected from the group consisting of gallium, indium, germanium, tellurium and cesium at a first metal content rate to form a gaseous metal compound, oxidizing the gaseous metal compound to form a second solid metal compound, and collecting the second solid metal compound at a second metal content rate higher than the first metal content rate. |
