abstract |
As a lubricating oil composition having both fuel-saving performance and satisfactory durability to gears or bearings, etc., particularly a lubricating oil composition that can be suitably used in a gear system for automobiles, the following lubricating oil composition is provided . The lubricating oil composition is characterized by including a lubricating oil base oil which is a mixed base oil consisting of: ( A) mineral oil-based base oils and/or synthetic base oils each having a 40°C kinematic viscosity of 10 mm 2 /s to 100 mm 2 /s and (B) a 40° C. kinematic viscosity of 200 mm 2 /s to 600 mm 2 /s and A mineral oil-based base oil of 0.3 to 0.9 mass % and a sulfur content, wherein the content of the base oil belonging to component (B) is 15 mass % or more of a lubricating oil base oil. The lubricating oil composition is also characterized by having a 40° C. kinematic viscosity of 90 mm 2 /s or less. |
