abstract The invention belongs to the field of graphene oxide preparation, and particularly relates to a method for preparing graphene oxide in an alkaline water phase. The method comprises the following steps: dispersing graphite in an alkaline water solution; adding an oxidizer into the alkaline water solution; reacting under certain pressure and ultrasonic conditions to obtain a graphene oxide solution; and carrying out after-treatment on the graphene oxide solution, and dispersing in water to obtain the graphene oxide dispersion solution. By using water as the reaction solvent to prepare the graphene oxide under alkaline conditions, the method avoids using abundant concentrated sulfuric acid, avoids pollution, and reduces the discharge of three wastes. The method is green and environment-friendly. The prepared graphene oxide is single-layer graphene oxide, and has the advantages of high quality and favorable dispersity in water. The method is simple, safe and controllable, and is suitable for large-scale industrial production.
