titleOfInvention Method for operating a dishwasher and dishwasher
abstract A method is provided for operating a dishwasher (1) in the form of a batch dishwasher having a treatment chamber (2) for receiving washing dishes to be washed. In the adsorption phase, an adsorption unit (41) is provided which leads air out of the treatment chamber (2) and through the treatment chamber in such a way that it contains a reversibly dehydratable drying material: the drying material absorbs moisture from the air stream, which air is then returned to the treatment chamber (2). In the desorption phase, it is further provided that the drying material of the adsorption unit (41) is heated in such a way that: moisture is desorbed from the dried material as vapor. In the desorption phase, the adsorption unit (41) is subjected to forced ventilation only to such an extent that: recondensation of the desorbed vapour in the adsorption unit (41) itself is effectively prevented.
