The novel polyanionic polymers comprise a set of repeating units such as maleic acid repeating units, itaconic acid repeating units and sulfonate repeating units. The polymer is at least a tetrapolymer and may be in the acid form or as a partial or full salt. Polymers can be synthesized using free radical initiators in the presence of vanadium compounds. Polymers have a variety of uses, especially in the agricultural context. |
