The impact-resistant and flame-retardant cable material is prepared from, by weight, 20 parts of ethylene and a copolymer thereof, 60 parts of a thermoplastic elastomer, 7 parts of polyethylene-propylene, 5 parts of a compatilizer, 3 parts of modified polyphenylene ether resin powder, 100 parts of a flame retardant, 2 parts of an auxiliary, 150 parts of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber, 150 parts of SEBS503 and/or maleic anhydride-grafted SEBS, 150 parts of a plasticizing softener, 2 parts of pigments, 12 parts of a cross-linking agent, 70 parts of liquid-reinforced softened rubber and 180 parts of a reinforcing agent. A cable made of the cable material has the advantages of the excellent combustion supporting property, flexibility, impact resistance, environmental stress resistance and the like and cannot be cracked due to the fact that cracks are generated. Due to the fact that a filling agent is added, a cable sheath achieves the good thermal stability.
