abstract |
A method and system for increasing the throughput of a fluid system, such as a biopolymer analysis system, by cleaning accumulated or clogged biopolymers from the fluid system. The methods and systems utilize a source of light energy to photocleave biopolymer molecules that may accumulate or aggregate in a fluidic system or clog channels. The accumulated biopolymer may be exposed to a source of light energy for a sufficient period of time such that the biopolymer molecules are given sufficient energy to photocleave the biopolymer molecules, thereby restoring the efficiency of and flowing through the system. |
