| abstract |
The present invention relates to an integrated process for the processing and utilization of each part of the guayule plant (guayule) comprising the following steps in sequence: mechanically treating (1) the stems and branches of the plant (3 ) are separated from the leaves (2); the leaves (100) are treated to produce waxes and essential oils (102), and a grade comprising cellulose, hemicellulose (carbohydrates) and to a lesser extent salts, organic compounds and lignin dividing (101); extracting (200) the liquid phase (4) from the stems and branches, thus forming a first solid woody residue (5) indicated in this text by slag; treating said first solid woody residue (5 ) to produce sugars, resins, rubber and lignin. |
