The present invention is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution for an electric double layer capacitor, which is formed by dissolving a quaternary ammonium salt as an electrolyte in a nonaqueous solvent, wherein the nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains 0.1 to 30ppm of an alkali metal cation. |
