titleOfInvention Subscriber Station (STA) and Access Point (AP) and Method for Random Access Contention Using Concatenated Trigger Frames
abstract Embodiments of subscriber stations (STAs), access points (APs), and methods for random access contention in wireless networks are generally described herein. A STA may receive a beacon frame for a beacon interval from an AP. The STA may further receive a first random access trigger frame (TF) indicating a first allocation of channel resources for random access contention by the STA during the first uplink transmission period of the beacon interval . The beacon frame may include the transmission timing of the first random access TF and the first TF concatenation type of the first random access TF. The first TF concatenation type may indicate whether the next TF is a random access TF or a scheduled access TF.
