A method of treating a neurological disorder by administering an extract, or a fraction or sub-fraction thereof, of an nerium species or an oleander species, wherein the extract, or fraction or sub-fraction thereof, does not comprise oleandrin and neriifolin. Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease or stroke is treated by administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of the extract, or a fraction or sub-fraction thereof. The extract may be present in a pharmaceutical composition. |
