An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball (2) excellent in spin performance. The solution is that the golf ball (2) has a main body (4) and a coating (6) on the outside of the main body (4). The main body (4) includes a spherical core (8), an intermediate layer (10) positioned outside the core (8), and a cover layer (12) positioned outside the intermediate layer (10). On a section along a plane passing through the center of the golf ball (2), when the coating is pressed with a force of 30 mgf in a direction perpendicular to the section, the indentation depth is not less than 300 nm and not more than 3000 nm. The thickness of the coating layer (6) is preferably not less than 5 μm and not more than 50 μm. |
